Regional Science Centre

Science Centre

The Regional Science Centre, Bhopal (RSCB) is located in the Shyamla Hills area of Bhopal, India.It is aimed at popularizing science and technology among the people, particularly the students. It is one of the constituent units of the National Council of Science Museums or NCSM.


A sky observation programme is organized on weekends after the sunset, as well as for specific astronomical events which occur from time to time. Awareness programs and exhibitions are organized on special days such as the International Museum Day and the No Tobacco Day. Student exhibits and science fairs are also organized from time to time.

Special lectures by scientists and professors are organized in celebration of commemorative days. Contests for students, film shows, awareness programmes, drama festivals, workshops and special exhibitions are also held to celebrate these days. Many Workshops are also organize here.

RSCB also organizes a one-week training programme for teachers and the would-be teachers on fabrication of simple, low-cost teaching aids. Science demonstration lectures are organized on request by school groups.

Sair Sapata is a Tourist entertainment Park situated at bank of  Upper Lake. Its a very nice place to visit with family and children .It gives mind refreshment. Jhula and play thing are there for children.Boating is available and Toy train is the attraction for children that move round with children with low price and many fun activities are also there. A Food Court is also there with lots of dishes and snacks.

City Bus is Available in Every 15 Mins From Bhopal Railway Station and its about 9km from Station. City Cab And Auto also available on prepaid and post paid basis. 

Van Vihar National Park

INTRODUCTION
Van Vihar is National Park located adjacent to Upper Lake of Bhopal city at Madhya Pradesh in Central India. It is spread over an area of 4.43 sq. km. area and was declared as a National Park in year 1983. Although it is a declared National Park, but on visit you will find it more a Zoological Park. It has been developed and managed as a zoological park in which wild animals were caged in a their natural surrounding. It is a important part of Bhopal local sightseeing.

This land is under strict protection, due to it has now transformed into an island full of greenery surrounded by habitation. Van Vihar serves as green lung for the capital town of Madhya Pradesh. It harbors herbivores like Chital, Sambar, and blue bull under free ranging condition and the animals like tiger, lion, leopard, hyena, crocodile and gharial under captive condition. The landscape of the area has led to the designing of enclosures in a fashion that serves the objective of fostering a positive man-animal relationship.

City Cab and Auto's Are Best Option to Reach Van Vihar. Its Located at Shyamla Hills around 6 kms From Railway station.

 Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya or National Museum of Humankind or Museum of Man is an anthropology museum located in Bhopal, India, to present an integrated story of the evolution of man and culture with special reference to India. It spreads over an area of about 200 acres on the Shyamla Hills in the city. This museum depicts the story of mankind in time and space. Located on Bhopal's upper lake, 'Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya' can be accessed either from Lake View Road or from another road near Demonstration School. IGRMS has a few permanent exhibitions, broadly categorized as a) Open-exhibitions, b) Indoor galleries and c) Periodical/ Temporary exhibitions. It also has other exhibitions categorized as

Birla Mandir is situated at the highest point of Bhopal, atop area Hills dedicated to goddess Lakshmi. The temple has a museum attached to it where there is a rich collection of sculptures from Raisen, Sehore, Mandsaur, and Shahdol districts of Madhya Pradesh. The collection dates back to the 12th century era of the Paramaras when art and culture flourished in the state. The sandy-yellowish temple has an old-worldly charm about it, with a huge turret on one side of the building. You enter the temple through a magnificent archway, and the sprawling lawns that surround the complex lend it a picturesque appeal.



Birla Museum Overview

The remnants of Madhya Pradesh's glorious pre-historic era is perfectly preserved in the Birla Museum. The museum contains objects used by the Paleolithic and Neolithic man, stone sculptures from 7th to 13th century BC and manuscripts and terracotta belonging to 2nd century BC.This museum is a must-visit for all history and archeology enthusiasts.
